Shri C. Ravi Varma (IPS, 2001) is a retired officer of the Indian Police Service. While in service — as Deputy Commissioner of Police, as Superintendent of Police and as DIG of Ranges — he built considerable experience in handling extremist activity and law-and-order situations.

He has handled many cases concerning women's issues and trafficking, and has served in the anti-corruption and vigilance wings. He also brings substantial experience of economic offence cases, having worked as DIG, Economic Offences, in the Crime Investigation Department.
