Dr. Ruben Karapetyan is a seasoned diplomat, historian and author with nearly 30 years of experience representing Armenia across the Middle East, Europe, Asia and Africa. He has held ambassadorial roles in countries including Egypt, Italy and South Africa, and served as Armenia's first representative to the League of Arab States and to the African Union.

A Doctor of Historical Sciences and a Professor, he lectures on international relations and geopolitics and has authored seven books. Dr. Karapetyan is an Honorary President of the Armenian Historical Society and a Distinguished Professor at the Russian-Armenian University (RAU).
