Mrs. Khair Ull Nissa Sheikh is the Executive Director of the World Trade Center India Services Council and the Joint President of over 13 WTCs in India. She has served on the Global Board of the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) for more than a decade.

Women's leadership

As a founder member and Vice President of NAREDCO MAHI, a women's leadership initiative, she drives her work on gender equality, gender parity, bringing more women into the mainstream and fostering women leaders.

Khair is a flagbearer of women's empowerment and entrepreneurship on a global level for Pink Collars. Her initiatives serve as a ladder to creating sustainability and enriching an ecosystem that encourages, supports and assists the country's budding entrepreneurs.

Trade & investment

As a founding member of the CEO's Club, Delhi Chapter, she promotes Indian champions and leaders in business, trade and investment. She works in partnership with the central government, as well as with various state governments and their investment agencies, to foster investment in the region and strengthen trade relations with other countries.

As a member of the India Retail Group she bridges the gap between retail and its various stakeholders, and advises brands on market strategy for entering India and expanding into other markets.

In her role, Khair engages business leaders and government professionals around the world to promote India for business, trade and investment. She works regularly with trade organisations, chambers of commerce and economic development agencies globally, and closely with the governments of various states on policies related to employability, bilateral trade, fostering investment, cluster development and building destinations as business magnets.

  • “Home Made in India” — targeted at fuelling the potential of India's MSMEs.
  • “Womenomics” — boosts budding women entrepreneurs by providing a positive and transformational ecosystem.
  • The UN Sustainable programme — working with startups, she has shortlisted more than 2,000 entries and provided access to global markets, funds and mentors for scaling up.
